Say Goodbye to Hollywood

So we decided to that LA was not the best place in the world to raise our little ones, so we packed up the car and moved the family to a super cute little town in Maine.

Check out the view from the boys room.

Chandler is diggin' the snow.

Chandler is adoreable. Glad you made it Ginger. Hollywood will miss you for that I'm sure.

What a move. From one end of the country to the other. I hope you all enjoy your new home. Chandler looks like he's having fun.

I haven't heard a lot of positive things about the services in Maine. Several parents homeschool because there are either no good services or districts can be very difficult. Hopefully you won't come across this.

We did lots of research and came to talk to the local agency before we decided to come. Apparently it really depends on what town you are in. Our town has good services, they actually will be giving us more than in LA, and we didn't have to fight for them, but I have heard that the next town over is a completely different story.

I stumbled upon your blog about a year ago while researching Autism--my best friend's daughter (now almost 4) had been recently diagnosed and I felt helpless as to how to help her. I think I did a goggle search for "how to help with Austism" or the like...I found your blog and it has really touched me. As a fellow right-ward leaning, christian I admire, applaud and am somewhat awed by your uncoventional, tell-it-like-it is pure pluck! I've never written you before, but when I saw that you and your lovely family had moved across country I thought it would be as good as time as any to tell you that I often pray for Chandler, you and your family. I suspect there are many, many other of us "out there" lifting you up in prayer. You just keep on hanging on to the Lord, dear sister--and keep doing what you're doing!!!
